Requires Mac OS 10.4, an always-on connection, and the RSS feed bookmarked in Safari:

System Prefs -> Desktop & Screen Saver -> RSS Visualizer

Without the Safari RSS bookmark, you’re limited to the built-in RSS choices.

To bookmark an RSS feed:

Click RSS in Safari’s URL window when on an AS page, then Bookmark the resulting page.

The result is a wild, spinning 3D representation of AppleSwitcher articles. Good for when you’re taking a break, but just can’t quite break away from the goings-on at AS.
