I hope it is a touchscreen iPod, I was so disappointed with the iPhone but I wouldn’t think twice about buying one minus the hobbled telephony.

If not Superbowl, then soon. It would almost be nonsensical for Apple to eschew the touchscreen technology for its top-of-the-line iPods. The iPod video as it stands now has a nice screen, but it’s still small for TV shows or movies.
Moving it to the horizontal aspect on iPods makes a lot of sense.

If it acts like an organizer then its a good sell. Some folks just need a PDA that has decent Mac compatability.

It can work both ways: pro: it can reveal the touch screen technology as applied to devices this small and finally do away with the clickable scrollwheel. con: it can lessen the impact of the iPhone by giving users a real life experience with the novelty of a touch screen as a controlling media. The latter would be akin to when they burn the whole movie during the trailer.

I predict whatever it is I will not buy it… unless of course it’s a new lens “I really need” for my camera.
The Beatles catalog. The iPhone keynote speech showed one or two Beatle albums if I recall.
That and more sugar water for the masses.
A new, larger iPod shuffle that doesn’t get lost on my desk.
