REALLY low price here folks. Note it’s the model before the recently-discontinued MBP 2.2 and 2.4GHz LED-backlight set.
So this isn’t the last generation, but the one before it. But for $1300? Absurdly low price.

The stock comes and goes. My question is where are these systems coming from? Were there that many in the sales channel left unsold? Is the MacBook Pro that defective of a line? A pandemic of buyers remorse? What’s the scoop?

I purchased one of those $1299 MBP models and it was delivered on the Tuesday the new models were released. Called Apple Store and got the $200 knocked off the origianl price of $1499. The MBP is pristine. Looks like new. Screen is perfect and a great deal at that price. I don’t regret not waiting and getting one of the 2.2ghz refurb models for $1449 because I took my $200 savings and bought Applecare on eBay for $190.
This was a great upgrade from my 1.8ghz Macbook. The screen alone is worth the price. After using the MBP for awhile I will never go back to a Macbook.

I’m upgrading from a MacBook 1.83 also. My $1449 MBP 2.2 should be here on Wednesday.

(I’m going to stick with the 2.2.)
My MacBook and an iBook 600Mhz from years ago were both refurbs, as were a Mighty Mouse, and Bluetooth Apple keyboard. All were perfect. The Apple refurb store is a nice little secret.
Let us know how it goes with your new MBP.
