I had the Miyazaki Prefecture A5 Wagyu. Nothing I've ever had compared. Nothing.

Dry aged beef is unbelievable.

You can find very good prime beef in some specialty grocery stores, but it's always wet aged.

$45 per ounce?

First time. First into Portland for a photo job. Portland is nuts but interesting. Bellevue is a different kind of nuts. :)

Vilnius, Lithuania, cold borsht, quite fitting during the last remnants of the summer heat wave.
It was truly outstanding...
Image

Lithuanian potato pancakes.... we got a theme going on here....
Image

Zeppelins, yes we are still in the potato thing, but this is different; imagine a circular potato pancake, stuffed with meat. It takes quite a bit to get it right, usually a lot of pork fat cubes sprinkled throughput a zeppelin's body. This was not. Ergo too dry. A plus for presentation...

Kindergarden ducklings...
